The magnificent villas and imposing new buildings house numerous diplomatic missions as well as the state representative offices of the German Federal States. The headquarters of the CDU political party is another architectural highlight.
To the north of the Lützow district beats the green heart of Berlin – the Tiergarten is around 200 hectares in area and is a favourite port of call for jogging, sunbathing, cycling or playing football. A new urban recreational area was created with the Park am Gleisdreieck, which opened in 2013 and provides numerous opportunities for leisure and sporting activities. The Landwehrkanal too forms a green ribbon through the district.
